About UsClub Simcha Kadima members are Thornhill-based women, aged 45 to 60. Our Club meets bi-weekly, often at the homes of our members. Boy, have we had a busy year! Our efforts range from collecting great prizes and auction items for our very successful Annual Bingo Evening to enjoying inspiring programming with topics that included a balanced mix of light and thought-provoking topics. Our stimulating programs included a psychologist, handwriting analysis, social activist in Richmond Hill, a therapist discussing medical problems with make-up and natural skin care, presentation about Jewish refugees in Germany attempting freedom on the S.S. St. Louis. To raise funds for Dollars for David, we held a Pot Luck dinner for members. May 2013 will be our 18th year hosting our Family Bingo! History Club Simcha and Club Kadima began in the 1980's as separate clubs of young housewives, mothers and working women. While organizing fundraising events, educational and social programs, our members continue to form a very special sisterhood. Volunteering has lead these vibrant women to form lifetime friendships, while at the same time helping Israeli women, children and families in need. We too, are receiving back in multi-fold, not to mention the "nachas" we get from giving of ourselves.
